John 6:63-66

63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.

65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”
66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.

Psst!…Can I let you in on a little secret?…

…God already knows who believes and who does not believe.

Non-believers turn away instantly from the words of Jesus, the Bible, and devotional messages such as Life Words. Even if you have not accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, been baptized, or even if you cannot remember the last time you prayed…you’re reading this message. There’s belief in you and God knows that. He is granting you access to come to Christ.

You see, we always hear about Jesus and the 12 disciples. But do you know that Jesus recruited many more to follow Him? Only the twelve remained after many turned away when they realized access to Jesus was only granted by the Father. They didn’t believe, thew knew it and God knew it.

You, on the other hand, do believe. It doesn’t matter how much you believe right now, the point is you do believe. The first time your dad took the training wheels off your bike, you feared you might fall but a small part of you believed you would ride just fine. It’s that “small part” of you God is focusing on! Accept the invitation and He will give you the proof you need to believe even more.

I love you all but Jesus loves you more!

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, I do believe You are a God who offers the understanding I desire . Help me to understand and draw closer to You. I thank You for granting me access to Your Son. I ask You to guide me onto the path that leads to salvation. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
